About

Fat Andy started mixing music on two tape decks in his parents garage. Trying to put together the best mixtapes possible by cutting songs over each other and manipulating the source decks to create weird noises. The live mixes would continue as access to new technology (Compact Discs) would allow. During this time, Andy began learning to play some instruments and write songs to help create the compositions that were filling his mind. While playing guitar, Andy was involved in some bands along the way like Hooper X and Low-Lit Rooms.

Switching to turntables im 2003, Fat Andy recorded and played with the hip hop band The EC Project. After EC parted ways, Fat Andy along with two partners founded Thrift Store Records to highlight alternative Nashville artists. Coming out of retirement to show his undying love for girls on eight wheels, Fat Andy now spins regularly for Nashville events and dance parties.
